Logging into the router IP is one of the initial steps to carry any process or task. Here is a guide that will help you log in at so, if your modem or router has as the default IP Address, then follow the steps mentioned below to log in to the panel and manage the same.

  1. Connect your device to a stable network connection. This can be done either through an ethernet cable or any wireless mode available. 
  2. Go to the web browser to access the internet connection.
  3. In the address bar type or
  4. You will get a view of the login page of your router.
  5. Enter the default username and also the default password. 
  6. You are now logged in to the configuration page. You can now make the desired changes.

Reset Forgotten Username and Password for Router 

If you have changed the router’s default username and password and forgotten it, do not worry! Follow the steps shown below.

  1. Look out for the reset button at the back of your router. Take a pointy object like a needle or a pin.
  2. Once you find the small hidden button >> press it with the help of the needle or the pin >> Hold for about 10 to 15 seconds
  3. Once it restarts you will be able to login using the default username and password for the router.

Find Your Router IP Address

For Windows
  1. Open the Command Prompt by clicking on the Start button followed by Windows System and then the Command Prompt option
  1. After the Command Prompt opens up type in the config and clicks on enter. Make sure there is a stable internet connection supplied to your device.
  2. The results will be shown. The Address besides the Default Gateway is your Router IP Address.

For Linux

  1. Go to Application >> System Tools >> the Terminal.
  2. After the Terminal Window Opens, type ipconfig.
  3. You will find your Router IP next to the Default Gateway Address.

For iOS

  1. Go to Setting, move to Wi-Fi.
  2. Select the network you have been connected to.
  3. Click on the Static tab.
  4. You will now find your Router’s IP Address.
